Sage advice...

I got Chinese food for lunch. My fortune cookie revealed the following words of wisdom:

"Progress always involves risk."

Soon after, I got an e-mail from a work friend... we'd been discussing a work function and I was telling her I wasn't sure if I was going to go. Part of her reply said this:

"Sounds like you have layer upon layer of reasons why you shouldn't be doing something. Try to get away from that and find just ONE reason why you SHOULD."

It seems as though the universe is telling me the same thing that everyone else has been trying to for weeks. Hopefully soon I will be better at the follow-through.

Close your eyes, hold your breath, and go out and do it. It'll be a pain the first couple times, but then you start to actually look forward to "moving on."

Hey you are hearing the messages and that's the first step toward your future. Hoping if you do go you have a good time.

Oh cool - it is so great when finally things start to appear coordinated rather than random. PLus the universe has got its act together to help you instead of harm you.

But practically speaking, if you can detatch yourself and turn on the autopilot in these situations that would be easier to ignore, it'll get easier over time and you will gradually be able to be more present and invested in the situations.

Good luck:) I want a cookie too now!
